Overview of the concept of intercultural competence
The workshop will provide an overview of the concept of intercultural competence, drawing on research from around the world to ensure that multilingual and multicultural viewpoints are included. It will also focus on the role of identity, student mobility and language learning in the development of intercultural competence. Specific attention will be paid to the different methods of assessment of intercultural competence in both classroom settings, as well as organisational measures.

I am a current Higher Degree by Research student at Torrens University Australia in the Faculty of Education. My area of interest is in intercultural learning in tertiary contexts, with a focus on student mobility.
I have five years of experience working as an English teacher with international university students in the development of academic literacy skills.
My education includes a Master of Applied Linguistics, a Graduate Diploma in Humanities (French) and Bachelor of Social Science.
